2. What we process

The website itself sets no cookies and loads no analytics scripts. The website and its mailboxes run on our own virtual server (VPS) at the hosting provider Versio, whose servers are located in the Netherlands. As with any hosted website, technical data (such as IP addresses in standard server logs) may be processed by the hosting provider for security and operation; we do not use such data for profiling. We only process what you choose to send us by email: your name, your email address and the content of your message. We never ask you to send secret access information (passwords, seed phrases, private keys or similar). If we accidentally receive such information, we will not use it to handle your question and will remove it from our active systems as soon as possible, as far as technically possible.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We use your data only to answer your message and, where relevant, to point you in the right direction. For answering general content questions, our legitimate interest is the legal basis (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). For a specific question about a possible commercial service, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR may apply (steps before a possible agreement). We do not use your data for marketing, profiling or automated decision-making. For technical data processed to serve and secure the website (such as IP addresses in standard server logs), our legitimate interest in a safe and reliable website is the legal basis (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). These data are not used for profiling.

4. Retention

We keep your message and contact details only as long as needed to handle your question, and we review stored data periodically. After that, they are deleted, unless we are legally required to keep them longer. Our own server and security logs are kept for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted or overwritten, unless a longer retention is needed to handle a security incident or required by law. Data that we delete from our active systems may remain for a limited time in backups that our hosting provider makes for its own recovery purposes; Versio deletes or overwrites those backups in accordance with its own terms, and the retention period depends on the service concerned.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

We process your data within the European Economic Area (EEA), on servers located in the Netherlands. We do not transfer your data to parties outside the EEA.

This is a static website: it sets no cookies, loads no analytics scripts, uses no trackers and offers no accounts. Your visit is not profiled or recorded for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on the processing, you may have the right to access, rectify, delete or restrict the processing of your data, to object to processing and, where the processing lends itself to it, to receive your data in a portable form, as well as to withdraw consent where consent was given. To exercise these rights, contact us using the contact details above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

8. Security

Data you send by email travels over the internet and is stored in the operator's email account. We protect that account with standard security measures, including strong access controls and encrypted connections where supported. Email is not a fully secure channel, so please do not send secret access information by email, we never need such information.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, applies. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
