Editorial methodology
Every page follows the same process: research, define the search intent, design useful information, implement, check facts against dated sources where possible, test, and a final tone check that keeps the page neutral and factual and avoids commercial pressure, unfounded time pressure and sales language. Direct safety warnings are only used where functionally necessary. Corrections are logged in public. Pages are fact-checked against current sources on a best-effort basis, with the aim of roughly every six months; every page shows when it was last checked. In addition to these periodic reviews, pages are re-checked sooner when relevant legislation, official guidance, provider procedures, wallet products or technical standards change materially. For legal, tax, regulatory and provider-procedure information, concrete rules are only included when they are necessary, currently checked and supported by an appropriate official or authoritative source. When an exact rule is not needed, the page states which question must be established and where the reader can verify the current outcome.
